If in doubt when trying to find a good and useful present for me for my 25th birthday, I'll give you a hint:

Apologies to all the men in my life that have been proven otherwise, but this is exactly the book I need to read. I don't know if its going to take away the sign on my forehead saying: "I am a jerk magnet, all jerks step right up!" but atleast it will help me realise that I'm not alone on this one. Or any other useful hints on how to get rid of my bad karma?

Yesterday was a magical day. It all started with me waking up to the sun in my eyes (which we haven't seen in a few days) and realizing that I have a day off. And that we would take Rimante's car and drive all the way to a metropolis called Sogndal to do some shopping. Such a girly thing to do! Yep. Me and Emelie had the coolest time trying to find some worthwhile toys to play with here in Balestrand and some icecream to eat, while Rimante was roaming around Vinmonopolet and perfume shops. The shopping spree ended with me and Emelie buying this fab game called Mikado in superlarge size (the sticks are normally about 15 cm long and as thick as matches but ours are about 1 meter long!) and a toaster for our kitchen. Very succesful I would say=) And would you believe that I'm also trying to write my exam at the same time all of this is going on? I must admit that my thoughts are generally on everything else exept that, especially on one thing that I'll get back to you about if it turns out to be worth mentioning=D

The speed of the Norwegian postal office is just purely amazing. I ordered a new sim-card for my phone three weeks ago and they said at Telenor that it would take 3 days. Today, 3 WEEKS later, I finally recieved a tiny letter from them congratulating me on my new sim-card. And the letter said that I should wait an other day or two for my pin codes.. So when they say two days, what is it they're trying to tell me? Anyway, I'm reachable again from my usual number so get those sms's and calls rolling in!

So much has happened since my last blog update, I'll try to do some summing up: Christa left which is unfortunate because she was always playing the role of translator for me when talking to swedes. Now its just a big pile of mumbling in my ears when they speak and my social life is going to be facing some hard times. So thats one thing. An other big event is that this great dude from last year, Lauri, has come to Balestrand about a week ago and it's so good to have him back! He's like the irritating little brother I never had. And then I managed to star in the first rumor to travel among all the people working in the hotel. I'm telling you, you don't have to do much (or actually anything for that matter) for people to start talking aroung here. The joys of living in a small town=) And then theres a lot of small fun stuff thats going on, like sauna parties and hiking and football matches, and I really believe that this is going to be a pretty good summer. Over and out.

Seefood diet

My dear friend Ernst is working in the bar next to the reception this year. Its all good until he blurts out some joke that he knows will make me laugh, alot. And its not that good when you're working in the front desk and are supposed to look all in control and cool and stuff. So here's the one that almost knocked me over cause it was so funny that it surprised even me: Ernst was eating a snickers and drinking coke and I just said that "you sure have put yourself on a strick diet there young man." And E just looked at me and said its the same one he was on last year aswell, a seafood diet. After a moment of confused silence from my part he just quietly added: "you know, the seafood diet. I see food and I eat it." Then he disappeared into the kitchen and just left me there, all alone and hoping not to pee my pants.
